M@z&Saverz Win the Welsh Finals in Enniscorthy, Ireland
Five of the six directors of M@z&Saverz travelled to Enniscorthy along with the seven other finalists to take part in the Celtic Young Enterprise Finals. They travelled from Fishguard on ferry to Enniscorthy on Tuesday 12th March for a four day visit. After a nine hour sea crossing they arrived at the Platform One Hostel which was their base.
The team set up their trade stands along with the Irish finalists and the Welsh finalists in the Riverside Hotel. All pupils were interviewed by the judges. Bryngwyn School were pronounced the winners of the Welsh Young Enterprise Business 2001/2002 and the team received a certificate and an engraved silver plate.
During their stay in Ireland the pupils visited the Celtic Linen Industry, were shown around the Celtic Enterprise workshops, attended a cultural Irish/Welsh evening and had freetime to go shopping and to the Cinema.
The hospitality of the Irish people was overwhelming. Teachers and pupils all agree they had a wonderful time.
