12 Oct 2004 - Year 9 Football Vs Amman Valley Comp.

Football match against Amman Valley Tuesday 12th October 2004

Bryngwyn 6- 2 Amman Valley

This game was billed as a bit of a crunch game for Year 9 boys. Amman Valley were a strong side and had won their previous game. Bryngwyn were still on a high after their first win against Tre Gib.

The game started brightly for Bryngwyn and in the initial stages had a lot of the possession, the midfield players were winning all the challenges and moving the ball up front quickly. It wasn't long before the first goal was scored by Jonathan Thomas. Bryngwyn continued to dominate possession and more goals followed from Matthew Lelii, Leigh Williams and Chris Davies.

A few substitutions were made at half time with Nathan Banfield and Steven Harries coming on instead of Leigh Williams and Mark Gee. The new side continued to dominate possession in midfield and Bryngwyn ended up being comfortable winners in the end. A good all round display and an excellent team performance. Jonathan Thomas managed to get a hat trick before the game finished.

Squad Names: Rob Bowen, Chris Bowen, Luke Lewis, Jamie Herbert, Mark Gee, Matthew Lelli, James Thomas, Leigh Williams, Stephen Youngman, Jonathan Thomas
