Pupil groupings

Mixed Ability Groups in mainstream with the Special Needs classes.

What is taught

Module 1: Community: Pupils will study how Jesus experienced conflict; the Roman Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation; the difficulties of belonging to a different faith; local efforts to promote Christian unity.
Module 2: Story: Pupils will study conflict and harmony; the role of the O.T. Prophet; prophetic action in religion; Jesus as the fulfilment of O.T. Prophets; a modern prophet; Parables as a way of teaching and prophecy; Muhammed the prophet of Islam; the Quran as a revelation of Allah.
Module 3: People: Pupils will study the evidence about Jesus Christ; the personality of Jesus Christ as reflected in the Gospels; the Resurrection as a basis of Christian belief; the work of Amnesty International.
Module 4: Communication: Pupils will study the question of God's existence; images of God based on Biblical text; images of Jesus.
Homework

One homework per fortnight.
Projects on Modern Prophesy to be completed at the beginning of January.
