Technology Year 9 Information
Pupil Groupings
Year 9 pupils will be split into two option groups. Each group will be shared between 3 staff
What is taught
Each group will follow a set experience of technology.
Group 1 will only follow a graphics option, electronics option and pneumatic hydraulics option and Group 2 will only follow a Food technology option, a Product design option and a Textiles option.
Each area will use Computer Aided design and Computer aided Manufactures.

Homework is based in specific issues within the subject content and design folder related tasks. It will amount to approximately one hour per week.
How progress is assessed
Progress is assessed on a National curriculum progression and internal assessment process reflecting GCSE course work i.e. 60% folder and 40% practical.
Other information
Pupils must ensure they are properly equipped with pencils etc. for each unit.
There could be a small charge for products produced
